WNM manages the Wabdowgang Noopming Forest with the following values in mind:

Collaboration with industry and government

To understand and respect the current and traditional uses in the forest, and develop strategies to support these activities and protect community values (social, cultural and spiritual);

To achieve full utilization of the available forest resource on the Wabadowgang Noopming Forest;

To ensure the sustainable management of the forest though a balanced approach in achieving socio economic, forest diversity, ecological and silviculture objectives;

To ensure the benefits to be derived from the sustainably managed forest are equitably shared by WN Management and other forest stakeholders:

to create economic benefit for the harvester through the efficient, profitable and orderly allocation of wood fibre, and,

to create economic benefit to receiving facilities through the provision of efficient, timely, and cost-effective supply of wood fibre;

To work with industry partners to continue to grow Whitesand First Nation capacity in forestry activities.
